Description: Department Description Connected Home Division - On Demand Business. This department is responsible for the development and delivery of Video on Demand (VOD) server and system control software. Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations: Senior Software Engineer to development and maintain the software tools required to simulate the user environments for testing advanced Video On Demand applications. Candidate is expected to have a history of delivering software products Candidate will be responsible for design, implementation and testing of the tools required by the SQA team to qualify new software releases Requirement: Specific Knowledge/Skills - 4+ years of software development experience - Experience with products running on the Linux OS is required - Experience with an object oriented language such as Java or C++ is required - Experience with a Code Management System such as Clearcase is required - The candidate must be adaptable, flexible and willing to take on new challenges - The candidate must be a team player, and must be able to work with multiple engineering and cross-functional teams. - Experience with a database such as Oracle is preferred - Previous experience with automated and manual testing of software and hardware products is desired - Experience with Video On Demand is desired but not essential |
