Description: Department Description M&E Mission - To drive and leverage Supply Chain Information Technology to optimize return on investment and effectiveness through best in class business strategy alignment, governance and processes. - Facilitate investment portfolio that aligns with Motorola‘s objectives and is managed in partnership with business constituents. - Create best in industry project management capabilities that achieve or exceed schedule, cost, functionality, quality and customer satisfaction expectations. - Lead/Enable level three (3) CMMI and ITIL maturity for disciplines outlined in the EQUIP-IT Process Roadmap - Improve IT Quality and Reduce Cost of Poor Quality - Align IT strategy with Motorola business and IT industry direction. - Enable best in industry enterprise architecture and security. - Ensure IT supplier management that achieves industry best efficiency and effectiveness. - Implement resource management that enables realistic commitments to customers and supports continuous skill set alignment. - Provide auditable IT security that meets all compliance objectives and provides seamless and secure connectivity with protection of critical information - Demonstrate compliance to Motorola‘s standards of internal control (e.g.-SOX Controls, DR, Privacy, etc...). - Provide timely and flexible performance reporting to IT and our customers. Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations Focus of Role - The PMO/PM CoE provides the organizational framework and the process/control mechanisms for managing across multiple projects. It is also a sourcing organization providing experienced project managers to complex projects w/in the SC IT. Aspects of the role include: - Flexible to rotation of roles between governance (PMO CoE) and execution (PM CoE) aspects of project management - Dedicated to assessment, academic certification, and continuous improvement of PM capability - Program management responsibility over scope, resources, schedule, and quality for complex SC IT programs - Create a "no surprises" project management culture that encourages honest and expedient appraisal and reporting of project status - To STOP projects from proceeding beyond the current review point pending senior management assessment of business risk - To review selected (by risk assessment) projects at predetermined MGates to ensure compliance to appropriate project management processes are followed - To closely monitor all critical projects, define project management processes, and coach/mentor project managers Roles & Responsibilities - Responsible for program management responsibility over scope, resources, schedule, and quality for complex SC IT programs - Provide governance and management reporting on critical projects - Ensure consistent execution of project management processes - Collaborate with Account Relationship Manager to identify project risks and define the appropriate level of PMO monitoring - Identify and manage change management issues w/in SC IT Requirement: - 10+ years of project management experience including complex global projects - In-depth knowledge of the nine PMBOK areas - Strong communication skills - PMI/CMMI/ITIL certified, Black Belt - Master‘s Certificate in Project Management (preferred) |
