The Magnetics Design Engineer must be able to design to customer specifications and will be involved in all phases of magnetics engineering, from proposals through product development, including technical interface with transformer manufacturers suppliers to achieve high reliability, low cost, manufacturable transformers for power supplies. The successful Transformer Design Engineer candidate will have a BS in Electrical Engineering and demonstrated abilities in the following: -Transformer, inductor design 2W to 2 KW -Design experience using ANSOFT, Mathcad and SImetrix or similar analysis tools is a plus -Experience with AutoCAD and Pro-E desired -Experience on Planar Magnetics -EMI and Power filter design Qualified candidates will also have the following: -A manufacturing background -Hands on experience -At least 5 years experience in design, covering a broad range of magnetic components - Ability to work independently on a daily basis - Responsible for engineering design work, preparation of detailed specifications Highly motivated to complete critical projects, proven ability to work with senior leadership and outstanding presentation skills are key attributes for the successful candidate. Design Engineer will report to the U.S. Engineering R & D organization, and will have responsibility for driving the design of magnetic components while working closely with suppliers and engineering teams in China, Taiwan and U.S, and product management. |
