| Senior Product Verification Engineer职位说明及要求 | |
| Team: GDNT CDMA Description: The role of Senior Product Verification (PV) Engineer is to work as a test prime for the assigned areas to verify product functionality from customer perspectives. Find product defects through the development and execution of Test Plan and Test Cases. Collaborate with other teams (e.g. design， systems， documentation) to drive issues through to resolution， and minimize product defects delivered to customer network. 1、Acquire in-depth knowledge and skill set in target areas to fulfill the assigned projects. 2、Lead a team on assigned features to the successful project completion from planning stage to the end. 3、Attend design reviews and contribute own product knowledge and experience to enhance product functionality， usability and quality. 4、Develop and review Test Plan to define the test strategy， test scope and test objective for the functionality or system under test. 5、Develop， review， and execute Test Cases to verify the product from customer perspective. 6、Responsible for test planning， test setup， and result reporting coordination of assigned areas/features from planning stage to completion. Provide timely feedbacks to management team for the positive and negative project status & impacts. 7、Analyze a problem found during testing to resolve it， or open CR to trace system defect， work with design group to drive for resolution. 8、Attend the feature’s E2E meetings and work with E2E prime to ensure the delivery of the features successfully with good quality on time. 9、Interacts with project contacts adhering to Nortel work process for successful completion of project 10、Mentorship in projects and share product knowledge/experiences with peers. Decision Making: Scope and Judgement 1、Decisions are made using technical expertise and experience. 2、Addresses features of all ranges of complexity. 3、Requires minimum or no guidance within context of functionality. 4、Knows when to escalate issues to manager or team leader. Has a defined set of contacts that are used for resolution of most problems. Problem Solving 1、Capable of prioritizing problems and determining system level impacts. 2、Capable of suggesting solution and workarounds for problems. 3、Follows up on issues to complete resolution and critically examines design solutions. Leadership 1、Coordinates assigned areas of functionality and/or responsibilities. 2、Uses knowledge and experience to allow self to suggest solution to problems. 3、Provides guidance and mentorship to junior employees. Professional Expertise/Knowledge 1、In depth product knowledge of assigned areas of functionality and/or responsibilities. 2、Ability to identify， define and recommend test tool requirements for area of responsibility. 3、Good overall knowledge of system and customer requirements and expectation. 4、Has demonstrated breadth to take on complex assignments and to learn new systems. Qualification / Experience Required: 1、Bachelor degree or above in Telecommunication， Electronics/Electrical Engineering， Computer Science， or relevant majors. 2、Minimum 2 to 4 years working experience in the telecommunication industry in a technology position， 1 year team leader experience is preferred. 3、Experience in GSM/CDMA product and/or IP network an asset， 4、Experience in end to end system verification is also an asset. 5、Good written and oral communication required. 6、Capable of effectively working with people with different culture/background across global R&D sites. 7、Sphere of influence spans from peers， project counterparts， to first level management， across design， verification and support teams. |
