ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES: *Taken the 1.5MW turbine training course *Completed the EHS requirements for commissioning and adherence *Proficient with electrical test equipment *Proficient at reading electrical schematics *High level computer skills including understanding of network communications (IP addressing) *Proficient at troubleshooting electrical circuits *Mechanical skills include understanding of bolt torque, bearing lubrication, Heating and Ventilation *Taken the appropriate converter course for turbine to be commissioned *Must understand and be able to complete all items in FCAT (Field Commissioning Acceptance Test) and CCT (Converter Commissioning Test) documents. *Responsible for submitting technical questions to the appropriate engineering group when issues or variations arise that has the potential to affect Safety Quality and Schedule. *Responsible for maintaining records that fully reflect the inspections performed. *Responsible for immediate report of errors, violations or problems to the GE site manager for action. *Responsible for making a conformance or nonconformance decision upon completion of a visual and or measurement inspection. *Responsible for performing all tasks assigned by the site management. *Responsible for requesting authorization for Overtime work and timely schedule of R&R. *Responsible for requesting authorization from the site manager before leaving the site for site demobilization, R&R or other personal business outside of his assigned project. If the site manager is not available contact the project manager for approval. *Travel abroad and work overtime in a moments notice. *Responsible for recording issues to participate in lessons learned programs to drive change. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: *Ability to travel through the local country and abroad without restrictions. *Drivers license needed. *Ability to ascend and descend to heights up to 330 ft. *Ability to work in the harsh construction environment dust, dirt, grease, able to climb/ crawl in tight spaces to perform his duties. *Ability to work with, move or manipulate equipments, tools or loads weighing up to 35 KG. *Ability to work in extremely adverse weather conditions. *Proficient with electrical test equipments. *Proficient at reading electrical schematics. *High-level computer skills: understanding of network communications (IP addressing) word processing, spreadsheet processing, and photo program. *Proficient at troubleshooting electrical circuits. *Mechanical skills: understanding of bolt torque, bearing lubrication, Heating and Ventilation. *Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and procedures. *Prior GAS/STEAM turbine commissioning experience, on small to large industrial projects *Ability to work in an office or field environment. *Experienced leadership in employee health/ safety and protection of the environment. *Able to work cooperatively. *Ability to make good judgment and problem solving skills. *Must be safety oriented and demonstrate adherence to EHS protocols. *Comprehensive writing skills are required to make the appropriate reporting to his supervisor. *Able to judge the level of technical variation that might be present and how to solve it in co-operation with other staff members. *Must have good people and communication skills to coordinate with all involved parties in the project without creating conflicts. *Skills in one-on-one communications necessary to make negotiations work. *Skills to be able to handle dispute resolutions in a proper manner. *Have positive work ethics. *Fluent English both in oral and written. *Willing to travel to remote project locations for extended periods of time.
