Responsibilities: The role of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is to lead all activities related to the mechanical aspects of the design, integration and test of touch screens in consumer electronic products.This includes the detailed mechanical design that is compliant with the cost,quality and schedule targets of the project.His/Her main responsibilities are: Prepare mechanical design concepts of consumer products with focus on touch screens Work out the structure, the content and the schedule for respective working packages Interface with other functions such as HW, LCD Development, Quality Management and other Engineering teams as well as with internal and external tooling suppliers. Evaluate and introduce new technologies, methods and tools Technical conversion of defined mechanical products from concept to mass production with consideration of the project requirements concerning function, time and quality Technical consultation with suppliers & production during development process Supply of 3D CAD data,2D drawings and technical specifications Execute and support useable preventive quality tools like FMEA‘s,design-reviews, tolerances analyses Control mechanical changes (internal and on supplier side) until mass production Requirements: Several years of professional experience in consumer or industrial product development. MS degree preferred. Technical knowledge regarding touch screen based products and applications Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, Tolerance analysis, etc. Ability to evaluate and estimate mechanic related product and process cost aspects MS office skills(powerpoint, outlook, project, word, excel etc.,) 3D CAD-Tools ( IDEAS, ProE, Catia, etc) Very good technical knowledge and experience in understanding and analyzing technical problems and finding solutions to them Good presentation and communication skills Ability to work well and contribute both as an individual or team Competence in spoken and written English is necessary Please send your resume, stating current and expected salary to : Email:jobs.hr1@cn.flextronics.com |
