Director, LCD Engineering And Design Based in Shenzhen China Purpose: The Director of Engineering & Design will work with architects, Manufacturing Operations Management, Program Managers and other functional leaders. Will also be responsible for leading a team of different functional Managers involved in Design and Development activities in order to meet customers display requirements from development of conceptual prototypes and architecture through development into full-scale production. Principle Accountabilities: The Director, Engineering & Design will: -Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area through several senior Design & Development engineering leaders involved in activities such as designing and developing. -Organize and lead a number of functional reviews to ensure projects are delivered on time, as per cost targets and within quality specifications. -Ensure life cycle engineering, management and customer support activities are performed as per defined processes and standards. -Partner with Operations leaders to ensure design & development activities are well integrated with manufacturing operations including the use of Design for Manufacturability principles. -Provide guidance and feedback to subordinate leaders to ensure achievement of goals and objectives. -Plan, budget, and manage the Engineering & Design group costs in line with Corporate objectives. -Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce. Requirements: -10 plus years of professional experience in LCD or Display engineering and/or product development. -Bachelor or Equivalent Education with a major in Engineer -Technical knowledge of LCD’s and Display technology -Experience with quality tools such as DFMEA, DOE’s, Tolerance analysis, etc. -MS office skills (powerpoint, outlook, project, word, excel etc.,) -Very good technical knowledge and experience in understanding and analyzing technical problems and finding solutions to them -Good presentation and communication skills -Ability to work well and contribute both as an individual or team -Competence in spoken and written Mandarin and English necessary Please send your resume, stating current and expected salary to E-mail : Edison.Chan@cn.flextronics.com |
