Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Industrial plastic coatings technical segment in Asia Pacific.
The incumbent will be responsible for directing and coordinating technical activities for the plastic coatings segment across the Asia Pacific region.
The bulk of such activities are currently located in China .
The plastic coatings technical organization in Asia develops new product platforms to serve the local as well as global markets， supports Company production in Asia ， and provides on-line support to local customer bases.
This position also interacts extensively with global technical， sales， and marketing organizations to determine market and technology directions.
Excellent English communication skill and in-depth understanding of coating technology commonly used in the plastic coatings market places are keys to the success of this position.
This position is also responsible for developing technical capability in Asia so as to establish a corporate-wide Center of Excellency for plastic coatings in Asia .
This position will be charged with strategically planning， hiring， and managing qualified personnel， and set the laboratory budgets.
The incumbent will establish good laboratory and quality systems management practices in the plastic coatings laboratories across Asia .
The incumbent will work closely with the plastic coatings Sales and Marketing management in Asia to achieve the business goals， including sales and profitability growth and meeting/exceeding customer expectations.
The incumbent will be responsible for implementing processes to continually reduce product costs， manufacturing cycle times， and improve the overall performance of plastic coatings coatings.
This is accomplished through training of personnel， good management practices， and the use of new technologies.
The incumbent will be required to work closely with global industrial laboratories to leverage resources.
He/She will meet with suppliers to identify new raw materials and technologies for product development.
The incumbent will act as the customer representative identified in TS16949 ISO9001.
Requirements:
A PhD degree in chemistry or chemical engineering with at least 5 years of working experience with various coating technologies commonly applied in the plastic coatings market.
Candidates for this position must have strong knowledge of the China plastic coating industry and versatile with plastic coating fundamentals.
Candidates must also have a minimum of two years experience in a supervisor‘s position.
