Company’s Profile： Multinational Automobile parts manufacturer Vacancy：Supplier Quality Engineer某大型美资企业 Location：Shanghai, Suzhou, Chengdu, and Xi’an Job Description： 1.The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) leads multiple supplier quality projects that are focused on reducing risk of poor quality or late delivery due to supplier performance. This will be accomplished by assuring supplier compliance to contractual quality requirements, assuring supplier process controls are in place using PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) tools, eliminating waste in supplier processes using Lean Manufacturing, and eliminating process variation using Six Sigma tools. 2.Candidate works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. This person also exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining required results. The SQE engages internal and external contacts in regard to company plans and objectives and determines methods and procedures on new assignments. This person provides technical and project/program guidance to other personnel. 3.The Supplier Quality Engineer position requires advanced project management and continuous improvement skills as well as advanced certifications to drive project completion and provide technical expertise. The Supplier Quality Engineer may work remotely depending on supplier location. This position will require learning and implementing the common assessment, standard transition process, PPAP, six sigma tools, and lean manufacturing tools. Requirement： 1.Mandatory to have at least Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineering 2.Preferred: Mechanical Engineering Degree and advanced management degree 3.The candidate must have 6-10 years of directly related work experience in at least 2 of the 4 following areas: Manufacturing/Assembly Operations, Quality, and Engineering (Design or Manufacturing), Materials/Procurement 4.Good shop-floor experience-in quality, engineering and production 5.Transition /NPI project program management experience not less than 3 years 6.Good effective English communication 7.Candidate must have the ability to lead / mentor teams, with a track record of coming through on commitments. 8.The candidate must be skilled in leadership, mentoring, training, persuasion and negotiation of critical issues, as well as demonstrated creativity, vision and mature judgment in anticipating / resolving complex issues. 9.Certified Lean Expert or Black Belt required. 10.Advanced level of experience with Aerospace products or related products and customers preferred. 11.A Professional Certification (ASQ-CQE and CQA) required preferred. Equivalent RAB qualification accepted. 12.Program management certification (PMI) preferred. 13.Additional experience or training in RCCA, ESD, Blue Print reading & GDT, NDE/NDT, IPC610, APQP/PPAP, Capacity Assessment and eCATS is preferred. 14.A comprehensive knowledge of Quality Assurance Engineering and practices applicable to the manufacture of aerospace products including regulatory, military, commercial, and industry/customer standards (i.e., ISO9001-2000, AS9100B) is preferred. 15.Demonstrated program management skills with large/complex project experience as either leader or with accountability for tasks. 16.Experience in leading multiple and/or cross-functional teams focused on problem solving and driving supplier improvements using Six Sigma Plus tools. 17.Demonstrated bias for action and initiative, creative problem solving, customer-focused perspective and a capability to work in a team environment. 18.Advanced interpersonal and communication skills are required to handle difficult situations as well as to diffuse escalated interpersonal conflict effectively. 19.Strong problem solving and analytical ability to evaluate and identify appropriate alternative courses of action for definition and resolution of unusual or complex problems. 20.Ability to mentor and coach suppliers to mitigate areas requiring improvement. 21.Capable of working effectively with suppliers and stakeholders around the world.
