M&A Associate

A leading European law firm needs an M&A Associate:

PQE Level: 4-6 years Post Qualification Experience

Location: Beijing

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have recent corporate transactional experience gained in the PRC and have a good understanding of standard practice in the PRC market. Strong international technical corporate skills coupled with strong M&A transactional PRC experience will be highly regarded.

A sound academic background， strong technical skills and the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively are essential. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is critical.

Job Responsibilities:

To support the Asia practice in the development of client relations. Specific responsibilities include:



Preparation of client updates (in both English and Chinese) on topical issues and developments in PRC law.

Alert the Associates and their clients to legal， regulatory and commercial developments.

Support client-marketing efforts by the department. This includes liaising with local counsel and assisting with client updates (M&A Focus)， and supporting Partners.

Undertake legal research and due diligence where necessary and as requested.

Assisting and advising on specific legal issues and risks arising from client work.

Representing investors and MNC‘s on development projects in connection with offshore acquisitions and listings of assets
