ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide the strategic inorganic growth leadership for GE Energy across China
Drive critical BD initiatives, mergers & acquisitions, strategic partnerships, alliances, joint ventures and dispositions.
Provide the strategy development, origination, structuring, valuation, negotiation and closing of GE Energy acquisitions and dispositions
Initiates the direct solicitation of companies and investment banks as well as working with GE Energy P&Ls.
Works directly with the P&L leadership team to develop market and industry intelligence for the purpose of determining potential areas of growth for GE Energy and identify the high value added targets within those segments.
Works with the P&L leadership team to identify components of the GE Energy portfolio that are not key competencies and works to ready those groups for disposition.
Prepare and present deal analysis and rational to GE and GE Energy business leaders and other key GE leaders for the purpose of obtaining approval to proceed.
Responsible for direct M&A activity plus supporting and coaching others in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
4 year degree
Fluent in English and Mandarin
MBA or a minimum five years direct M&A business experience (industry, investment banking, consulting, etc.)
Must be willing to relocate to China and be able to obtain the proper immigration material to work.
Strong working knowledge of M&A valuation, structuring and negotiations
Must have minimum 5 years experience working in a cross-functional business environment with direct reports
Demonstrated IT application skills (MS Office Suite) - Work, Excel and PowerPoint.
