ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the detailed design of equipment and processes for water treatment projects.
Interfaces w Applications Engineering and Project Manager to assure that the equipment and/or process delivered meets client CTQs.
Organizes the Design Engineering Team work project schedule to meet targeted due dates.
Reviews and approves all designs created by the team and by third parties
Analyzes system and equipment designs to identify opportunities to reduce design costs without impacting performance.
Works with individuals on the Design Engineering Team to develop their technical skills and careers at GE.
Manages documents flow and completions as well as ensuring proper documents are delivered to fabricators and core manufacturing.
Ensures complete document sets are provided to the client as required and that a proper database of documents is maintained.
Ensures all documents and designs conform to Global GE Water Engineering standards
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 10 years experience in water treatment plant equipment and process design
Tertiary degree in technical discipline such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Advanced level knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD and Microstation
Good interpersonal skills
Strong teamwork approach
Strong work ethic
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop talented people in a diverse environment
Fluency in written and oral English
Fluency in Mandarin
DESIRED:
Professional Engineering certifications or other professional certifications
Korean language competency
Functional knowledge of AS3000 Electrical Design standards
International work experience
