MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsibility for all Product Concept Sourcing Engineer activities in Sourcing engineering Radio Access group. - Perform product concept analysis, prepare and support make or buy proposals (availability, biz maturity, product/solution, recommendations). - Push design to cost measures and target cost definitions. Ensure that category-strategies are used within BU portfolio management. - Contribute to improvement of supplier base management. - Implement the most cost efficient technologies into the product concept in cooperation with Technology Sourcing Engineer (TSE), Category Manager (CM) and BUs. - Participate in reverse engineering and identify possible alternative suppliers and their potential savings. - Drive the correct supplier phase-in evaluations (RFI, RFQ, early evaluations) together with Technology Component Engineer (TCE). REQUIREMENTS: - Engineering degree with 8+ years experience in telecommunication industry. - Thereof at least 5 years experience in R&D or Purchasing/Sourcing. - Experience as a project manager is an added advantage. - Experience in dealing with international teams is essential PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: - Results Orientation, Strategic Orientation, Networking Skills, Initiative, Ability to Analyze, Team Skills - Location: Beijing |
