| Business Area:Power 《b》Goals/Mission《/b》 The incumbent performs, manages, expedites and coordinates all required and necessary efforts relating to Sales activities, preparation of tenders and coordination of marketing activities in the China region, on PG I products - both individually or in a team as the process dictates. Incumbent assumes initial client contacts, does marketing activities & then specific project pre-sales strategy formulation, in tandem with the Area Sales Managers and subsequent participates in budget & firm bidding processes for successfully screened project. 《b》Tasks《/b》 Pursue new business opportunities by regular visiting the existing and new project stakeholhers, making presentations, clarifications etc to maintain the long term business relationship in the defined industries and/or Regions/and or account. Business information collection- collect and update (customer/business partners as well as competitor, and its product) via exhibition, seminars. Be reponsible for the country specific market plan and its subsequent implementation, coordination and reporting. During budget offer preparation, coordinates & distributes important inforamtion for price formulation, sales strategies, selling on TCO values, performance calculation etc. Assess the reality of request for tender via direct contacts with the industry ie. Client, client competitors, A/Es, contractors etc. Information abtained, togther with others will be used bid no bid decision making. Provide information (& prepare/participate as necessary) for Screening of Projects as required by the management review for a decision prior to a full bid preparation. Coordinate Cross Group and/or BU Selling activities with focus on Rotating and Electrical Equipment in a matrix and regional organization. Maintain, establish and extend Corporate and Senior Management level relationships with decision-makers to promote Siemens capabilities and offerings beyond products and solutions. Coordinate with RBCs to define Account strategies and implement them together with the Group Account Managers, Account Teams, Business Units and Support Teams to generate high customer benefit. To utilise, update and maintain any in-house database system ie. Lotus Notes database- by participation in providing information to ensure an up-to-date, accurate database for the defined industries and/or regions/and or account. 《b》Knowledge/Languages《/b》 Business process analysis and modelling. Ability to use PC application. Fluent oral and written English. Interpersonal and communication skills Good technical knowledge of Gas turbine or steam turbine or turbo compressor Good understanding power plants in various applications (open cycle, congeneration, combined cycle), or process in Oil and Gas and Chemicals Conversant with general knowledge of the powerplant technologies or Oil and Gas Chemical and available concepts Good communication skills to understand customer situation. Ability to structure situation and issues for peers and management. Good negotiation skills with the ability to lead customer teams to win-win solutions. Ability to build awareness for the need of service and the associated economic value. 《b》Experience《/b》 At least 8 years working experience in Power Plant field, of which 5 years are to be in a sales and marketing capacity & preferably have past responsibilities in profit & loss positions. Relevant post graduate qualification(s) advantageous. At least 8 years working experience in Power Plant field in Engineering or Project Management function with at least one area of specialisation for direct value adding pruposes to departmental activities. Able to work independently, as well as within a team later which requires excellent communication skills. Able to lead process of a sales, negotation or discussion as the situation requires it. Ability to work with or in a group or on individual basis with people of differing background, knowledge, levels in the company - in both technical ( engineering ), commercial & sales capacities. |
