| Job Description: Oversee a Regulatory Partnership Team.Train and advise team members in areas of Customs regulations, classification and valuation.Work with clients to establish detailed profiles and procedures that properly represent their import process.Communicate changes to regulations and Customs and other government agency procedures to clients. Alert clients to special areas of concern or potential problems in their import process. Develop and maintain excellent service to internal and external customers at all times Oversee a Regulatory Partnership Team Train and advise team members in areas of Customs Regulations,classification and valuation Create and distribute written procedures for handling each account, served by the team,including classifications,valuation rules, schedule of fees,Customs correspondence,post entry process,and any other related information Mange the Import databases and pre-load templates to reflect these procedures Receive, review,and process high volume,and/or complex import transactions for assigned base of accounts,including the classification and valuation of goods. Process documents through the Company‘s Import system,obtain Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate. Arranging both delivery and invoicing the import account for services rendered Review and monitor all Customs rejections,requests for information and other correspondence Measure team‘s performance and identify transaction tasks that require special handling or expediting Advise supervisor of any problems or irregularities discovered within assigned transactions Maintain a high level of expertise in all areas of U.S.Customs Regulations regarding Customs Brokers and the Customs clearance process,classification and valuation rules through self study,as well as courses and seminars presented by the Company and other Customs sponsored seminars in assigned area Other duties as assigned. Special skills/knowledge: Data entry,customer service,and computer literate. Qualification: Bachelor‘s degree or GED and 2 years related experience. Position requires a minimum of 1 year experience,in all activities relating to the clearance of imported shipments through US Customs and other governmental agencies,arranging transport,and the delivery of shipments. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to read,write and communicate fluently in English.
