Responsibilities: Work closely with domestic and overseas departments on all aspects of apparel merchandising process Lead and work with overseas buyers independently throughout the buying trip, provide necessary analysis for buyers’ reference Involved in sourcing and analyzing suppliers from the Greater China Area and South East Asian countries for export to overseas Develop product category handled or new programs, explore new direct import opportunity and compile market intelligence Ensure smooth order execution and on time shipment by adopting necessary control and coordination Supplier score cards/ alignment – assess supplier qualification (quality/ design/ cost/ capacity/ environment) Generate/ compile formal/ relevant business reports to manage the business Provide leadership and develop the Assistant Merchandiser Requirements: Bachelor degree holder with minimum 5 years experience in apparel merchandising. Experience in manufacturing, trading companies or buying offices is a plus With strong desire in obtaining exposure in multi-national business, working with people from different nationalities and gaining full visibility of supply chain process Strong apparel product / merchandising knowledge and sound skill of cost structure Strong market sense and analytical skills, a category specialist and industry specialist A good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to work under pressure and willing to handle paperwork/ reports Good command of English/Mandarin and MS Office software Self motivated and able to work alone and travel frequently mainly in the PRC |
