Essential Functions (Responsibilities) Join an exciting business to develop new product for the growing emerging market in GEHC‘s Diagnostic Imaging MRI Division. Lead and manage the Systems Engineering team, a part of Global Magnetic Resonance (MR) Science & Technology organization in Beijing, China. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic growing team, focused on developing, delivering and supporting world-class systems for use in clinical whole body MR systems. Key responsibilities include: lead the Systems and sustaining Engineering team in Beijing, driving continuous improvement of systems, products and processes functional leadership of the team, with responsibilities for recruitment, team/talent development, skill set improvement and mentoring Strategic design, direction, collaboration and implementation of product Verification and Validation Strategies with product Design Teams. resource assignments and prioritization drive technical excellence into the design process and knowledge capture instill a rigorous approach to target costing for new products and driving cost out of existing products optimize the team‘s participation in all phases of the product development life cycle, from concept and requirements generation, to design transfer into manufacturing, optimizing functionality, manufacturability, reliability, serviceability and cost. support existing products with manufacturing, sourcing and service. ensure the team works safely and in full compliance with all regulatory requirements Work closely with the global and local cross functional teams in driving simplification and compliance Manage the team to deliver timely resolution of customer complaints and FMIs. Required Qualifications: BS in Engineering or Physics with at least 5 years relevant industrial experience Strong product design background with system/electrical/mechanical functions. Excellent English and communication skills Strong leadership and management skills 2 years of team management experience Preferred Qualifications: MS or PhD in Engineering or Physics with at least 7+ years relevant industrial experience demonstrated leadership, team-building and interpersonal skills. working knowledge of MR systems strong determination and will to win in a complex network. ability to work with cross-functional, multidisciplinary global teams. flexibility in handling challenging, multi-tasking workload. ability to challenge and engage a team designing complex products to meet stringent quality and cost demands while executing to hit demanding timelines Experience with budget management Experience with recruiting and people management |
