Microsoft City: Beijing SIGMA Plazza Are you a talented Systems Engineer looking to help manage the rapidly expanding SQL Server Product Units IT Infrastructure? Are you looking for a position where you are at the heart of an operations team for a Product Unit? Are you looking for a position where you can impact all aspects of running a IT Infrastructure within a Data Center? If so, this is the position for you! As a member of the SQL IT Operations team you will hold a key position in managing the Data Center Systems which range from SQL Servers, Windows Failover Clusters, NLB Web Farms, Domain Systems (AD/DNS/WINS) together with a wide variety of applications used to support the development and testing of SQL Server. The SQL IT team is building one of the first centralized product unit support teams supporting the entire SQL Server Product Unit. As our Vice President recently said, the most important people in the building are the Infrastructure team as without them, the life line does not exist. Come join the team as we continue to grow! Required skills include: 1. Demonstrated design/implementation/troubleshooting skills of the following Microsoft systems: - DNS/WINS/AD - Hardware Load Balancing devices (NLB) - Internet Information Server 6 (IIS) - SQL Server 2000/2005 - Windows 2003 Server - Windows Failover Clustering 2. Experience in basic SQL Database Administrative tasks (DBA) 3. Strong in self-direction, problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to continually evaluate priorities of the work undertaken 4. Knowledge of performance monitoring systems , remote administration on the above Microsoft technologies including Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 5. Good interpersonal skills, critical thinking, written and oral communication and technical documentation skills Qualification include: Skills: - 5 years experience managing software deployments in production datacenters is required. - 3 years Windows 2003 administration experience is required. - Minimum of College degree, preferably in Computer Science, is required - MCSC Certification strongly preferred How to apply: Please send your application to: frchen#microsoft.com (replace # with @) |
