Position Summary:
This position will report to John Edgecombe, WCS Finance Director, APAC.
The successful candidate will manage associates who will be involved in the financial reporting, analysis, and consulting required to effectively and proactively support the CHINA WCS Area. The candidate will need to be able to successfully manage a team of dedicated resources and shared resources within the WCS Area‘s and regional shared service centers to accurate financial reporting of the WCS China Results.
The successful candidate will be a key interface with the WCS Regional Finance team. The role will be instrumental in providing direct planning support as well as timely and accurate financial information to facilitate the achivement of the businesses financial objectives.
This role will be expected to provide financial leadership in the areas of reporting, analysis, and consulting to the China team with the objective of proactively supporting business decisions and driving profitability through accurate P&L, backlog & funnel management, effective processes and sound business recommendations. Specific responsibilities include the coordination of monthly and quarterly business performance reviews (including Balance Sheet reviews), P&L management, investigating and explaining material variances to plan and outlook, annual and monthly budgeting, forecasting, and asset management as well as finance support for business issues that arise throughout the year as required.
The persom will be a key member of the WCS China leadership team.
Specific Responsibilities and Activities will include :
Prepare the Annual Plan, monthly review of operational results, risk review, and development of monthly solution submissions. Coordinate and interface with the appropriate Area management.
Provide adhoc financial reporting and analysis to the WCS CHINA AGM and provide recommendations on business issues identified by the business or proactivly identified within the planning team.
Provide proactive consultative support on business issues that arise as required to appropriately support the needs of the business and their efforts to achieve business objectives.
Re-engineering and continuous process improvement of financial practices to ensure maximum quality and utilization of resources.
Timely and accurate financial reporting, planning, and forecasting for P&L, balance sheet, and asset management items.
Provide proactive analysis on Solution profitability and communicate assessment and risks to business management.
Liaise with the infrastructure organizations (e.g. WCS Regional Planning, Controllers Group, Accenture Outsourced Services Center, CRS contract Managem,ent team, Business Operations, SDO, Human Resources) regarding order and backlog management, compensation, accrual accounting, revenue accounting, asset management, real estate, purchasing & procurements, internal control compliance, etc.
Staffing, development, retainment, and succession planning of financial planning employees.
Responsible for financial internal controls compliance. Full compliance with revenue and cost recognition policies.
Suitable applicants will have the following qualifications :
Minimum 5 years business management experience. Knowledge or previous work experience with the applicable company solution is a significant advantage.
Proven proficiency in accounting and strong knowledge of standard accounting practices, and Ccompany policies.
Demonstrated ability to liaise with key organizations (i.e. operations management, sales, Professional Services, other BUs, and Controllers).
