Microsoft (China) are seeking a Senior Staffing Manager who will make a direct and immediate impact on our ability to source and hire the brightest talent in order to grow and scale Microsoft‘s sales and marketing function across GCR. This organization will continue to grow aggressively, so bringing high level talent to this business group is a key management goal.

As a member of the Greater China HR Leadership Team, this person will have a tremendous amount of visibility both at a local level and on the international stage. The role is unparalleled in terms of breadth and scope of business support and offers a seasoned recruiter with strong programmatic and leadership capabilities the opportunity to lead one of the premier recruiting teams in the China market today.

Specific Responsibilities to include:
- The Senior Staffing Manager is ultimately accountable for ensuring that staffing strategies are formulated and then executed against to ensure hiring goals are met across the Greater China Region. Provides leadership on a broad spectrum of recruiting programs. Collaborates effectively with the staffing team to build and drive projects and programs and to ensure program goals are met:
- Plays a pivotal role in driving the recruiting arm of the diversity strategy. Champions the business case for diversity across the staffing and hiring community. Focuses the staffing team towards organizational and team diversity objectives and develops an effective program for increasing the overall number of female hires in SMSG.
- Thinks both strategically and creatively with regard to the ongoing success of our campus and intern programs in GCR.
- Leads staffing programs including: staffing vendor management and education, ensuring our recruitment agencies are vetted and selected appropriately. Plays a key role in defining the agencies for new geographies and helps define effective recruiting strategies regionally. Drives awareness and usage of the employee referrals program in the PRC for SMSG. Helps build strong and consistent employment brand for SMSG in China from campus programs up to executive level hiring.
- Provides strategic leadership of executive hiring process for SMSG. Engages with executive search partners to ensure a streamlined approach towards senior level hires. Remains hands-on in this regard.
- Partners with the International Staffing Team as well as HR teams on a local level to measures and analyze key recruiting metrics for the purpose of managing recruiting effectiveness, educating client groups and driving continuous improvement.
- Consults with internal clients on overall staffing strategy both for short and long term business needs. Is instrumental in building an effective workforce plan not only for present year but 3-5 years out.

Requirements:
- Must have a bachelors degree at a minimum.
- 10+ years experience in HR, ideally in a multinational company
- A background in staffing solutions or executive search, and proven leadership skills.
- Strong competencies in systems thinking, project management, drive for results and cross group collaboration.
- An approachable personal style, effective problem solver, ability to deal effectively with change and conflict and excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong PC skills in windows applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power-point).
- Self starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Requires strong negotiating, influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated discretion in dealing with highly confidential matters.
- Must be able to travel as required to various MS offices around China.
- Strategic thinker with a proven tack record of formulating both long and short term strategies.
- Fluent English and Mandarin speaking and writing would be ideal.
- Must be able to travel as required to various MS offices around China.
