Based in: Beijing The POC - Talent Management Consultant (TMC) will support the implementation of the POC/HR strategy for the Greater China region and drive the implementation of programs in areas such as: Change Management, High Potential Development, organization effectiveness and Diversity. The POC TMC will work with the People and Organization Capability Director, the HR Subsidiary Managers and the regional Leadership Team to implement talent management frameworks and systems. In conjunction with HR line leadership, they will help build and implement the overall talent management strategy and story for the business in the context of Microsoft‘s overall business and talent management goals. The position will report directly to the POC Director for GCR. Key responsibilities 1. Change Management - Work on change projects under the POC and HR Directors, including org design/alignment and implementation. 2. Organization Capability - Drive Talent enablement, Manager feedback and High Potential identification process, in close collaboration with POC Director and HR Managers. 3. Support High Potential Identification and Development - Assists the POC Director in high-potential talent identification, succession planning and senior promotion processes: - Assist in design, development and implementation of on-going leadership development, and calibration processes. - Serve as subject matter expert related to talent management initiatives within business. - Leverage existing work within POC and across HR and actively use them when implementing in-business work. Support the POCD to identify learning experiences needed for High Potentials and help making these experiences real for the HiPos in business. - Help create, implement, and facilitate high potential learning experiences. Participate in and support delivery of high potential events. - Coach high potentials regarding their learning experiences and leadership challenges. 4. Support Diversity Initiatives and Programs - Diversity is a strategic business imperative for Microsoft Greater China. This role will work across groups to support and help enable diverse talent acquisition and development. Required competencies/experience/skill sets: - The ideal candidate will have excellent diagnostic, project management, interpersonal leadership, customer service, partnership, communication, presentation, strategic execution and consulting skills. - Excellent cross-group collaboration, interpersonal skills, customer focus, and results orientation. - Organizational agility and excellent communication skills are critical. - Strong coaching, facilitation and presentation skills are also required. - A BA/BS in human resources, business, organizational development or psychology, with a Masters preferred. - 7-8+ years of experience in organizational development, management/leadership development, or related disciplines - Experience working in a global corporate/international/subsidiary. - This position requires travel.
