ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: List the job‘s essential or most important duties and responsibilities with the most critical job listed first.Indicate the % of time spent on each item.This is not an exhaustive list as the employee may be required to perform duties outside those listed below. 50% Direct material cost reduction efforts. 30% Supplier management; including product quality intitiatives, supplier base reduction, lead time reduction and supplier performance measurements. 15% Strategic sourcing, commodity management 5% Provide procurement guidance and support to manufacturing plants and other internal customers. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: List the minimum education and experience required to perform the job in a satisfactory manner.Include years and type of experience needed.Include required coursework or certification classes.List the licenses, certificates, or registrations that are required to perform the essential duties of this job. Must have a B.S. or B.A degree; Masters or other advanced degree preferred but not required. 10+ yrs. of Procurement Management or Commodity team leadership experience or equivalent. Also, a proven track record of purchasing and supplier management experience. Must have proven leadership skills and negotiation experience.Overall experience and background must be adequate to effectively manage a group with overall annualized commodity and supplier expenditures of $150MM to $200MM. Strong experience in the actual negotiating of commodities and far materials is a must.
