COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: BACKGROUND/SKILLS The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, knowledge of databases and automated information systems, a passion for information services, and enthusiasm for contributing that expertise to employees in a research environment. 1)MS in library or information science AND subsequent experience of at least 3 years in a corporate information services or information management environment providing in-depth information research services to a technical community. 2)Project and staff management experience required. Experience with content management systems and intranet environments. 3)Written and oral fluency in Mandarin and English are required. 4)Demonstrated experience and comprehension of concepts and technologies from engineering, manufacturing, or research. A B.S. in a technical field in addition to the library/information masters is highly desirable. Qualified candidates will have a highly proactive working style and the ability to interact successfully with a wide range of personalities. The position requires a strong focus on customer service, commitment to excellence, and a willingness to engage directly in R&D and operational projects. |
