Range of responsibilities: Evaluation of dimensional inspection reports and discrepant material reports with recommendations for corrective action or acceptance of deviations. Evaluation of changed and retooled parts in their assemblies to be sure there are no quality or manufacturing issues. Communicate issues and concerns to global design teams. Perform tolerance and stress analysis to evaluate issues. Vendor site visits to evaluate status of tooling and vendors ability to create parts. Keeps informed on the latest state-of-the art devices, techniques and technical developments and theories associated with the Mechanical Engineering discipline. Participates as the technical liaison between design, manufacturing, other tooling management team and vendors. Contributes to a positive team-based work environment. |
