JOB SUMMARY: The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be responsible for working with suppliers and with Boston Power Procurement team, to implement sound Quality Systems at supplier manufacturing facilities, and follow up with audits on regular basis to ensure qualified and stable quality system and process controls are in place. The SQE is also responsible for coaching the suppliers to establish robust outgoing quality control mechanism and ensure satisfactory quality level of the products or materials shipping to Boston Power. The goal is achieved through driving subcontractor quality initiatives and improvement efforts, monitoring key performance metrics, auditing assembly & test production lines, monitoring engineering change activities, supporting resolution of production issues and customer returns, participating in assembly and test site assessments and readiness reviews. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.Support sourcing activities 2.Participate in NPI process in for supplier quality development 3.Lead supplier development and management program to ensure sound quality system and stable process control. 4.Driving suppliers and subcontractors quality initiatives and continuous improvement process with statistical techniques to sustain satisfactory process and outgoing quality level of the products or materials shipping to Boston Power. 5.Monitoring key performance metrics at suppliers and subcontractors’ manufacturing facilities 6.Auditing suppliers and subcontractors’ assembly & test production lines 7.Monitoring engineering change implementation at suppliers and subcontractors site. 8.Solve production issues and/or customer returns that related with the products or materials from supplier and/or subcontractor by launching, driving, and follow up closed-loop corrective actions till closure with validated effectiveness from the correspondent supplier or subcontractor. 9.Participate in suppliers and subcontractors assessment and readiness review. 10.Conduct system audits according to the corporate quality strategy and procedures EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1.Master in analytical or industrial chemistry or related science, plus 3-6 years related working experience, understand the manufacturing process for lithium ion battery chemical material, like active powder material, graphite, carbon black, electrolyte, separator, key process control points, in-process testing and final product testing; familiar with a wide range of instrumental analysis, including SEM, XRD, particle analysis, BET surface area, AA (Atomic Absorption), ICP (Inductive Coupled Plasma), working knowledge of electrochemistry is a plus. 2.Quality and operation experience: knowledge of quality system, Statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability studies will become an intricate part of the quality assurance program; therefore, formal education in courses related to these areas such as mathematics, statistics, and industrial practices, are essential for this position. 3.Proficiency in written and spoken English; 工作地点:深圳龙岗平湖镇(公司提供深圳市区出发的班车) |
