| MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Nokia Siemens Networks commitment to success is based on innovation and technology leadership. Industry Environment is the group in NSN， focusing on achieving technology leadership in: • Mobile network evolution – developing the 3GPP and OMA standards • The Internet – making sure that the needed IETF protocols are available • Fixed networks – driving NGN and IPTV architectures and Carrier Ethernet and optical standards • Broadband Wireless Access – developing WiMAX Forum and IEEE standards In China， Industry Environment has a strong presence and contributes to the NSN success by driving strategy in spectrum and industry standards， contributing to Chinese and global standardization and maintaining a continuous dialogue with network operators on standardization strategy. NSN seeks to recruit a standardization specialist within the China Industry Environment group with a strong technical background in internet (IETF， IPv6， SIP， P2P) to work within a competitive and dynamic team of professional engineers， with international and national standardization focus. Active participation in IETF， IPv6 forum， SIP forum， ICS and CCSA meetings will be also part of the role， as well as internal coordination with Business Units and Customer Teams. Part of this role will be also to confer with MII and other governmental organizations and contribute to the China Industry Environment strategy. A recognized expert with deep technical understanding， this person should be of proactive nature， and willing to explore new challenges. With excellent communication skills， this person will be the focal point for internet technical issues and act as the bridge between research and standardization. The ideal candidate should hold a Masters in Engineering or equivalent with focus on Computers or Telecommunications and be fluent in both Chinese and English. Previous experience in standardization related activities such as IETF/IPv6/SIP/CCSA will be considered as a plus. |
