Our Understanding of the Background Our client is a US famous cosmetics company and they have their China head office in Shanghai. They have over 10 years experience in China and have more than 600 employees now. Key Area of Responsibility: - Responsible for the strategic development and oversight of countrywide warehouse, distribution, and logistics for the company. - Develop logistics needs and compliance requirements for the company and drive the implementation. - Responsible for all warehousing, asset management, and distribution functions countrywide. - Select and manage third party service providers to ensure company needs, costs, and performance objectives are met. - Establish performance metrics for all critical processes and report these to all concerned parties regularly. - Establish a system of parts mastering and management. - Lead and coach more than 20 people logistic team in different cities. Qualification: - BA/BS in Business Management, Logistics and Operations Management required; Master’s or MBA preferred. - 10+ years of supply chain and logistics experience is required. - Ability to develop and drive logistics strategy. - Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, and negotiation skills. - Broad experience in warehousing and distribution. - Solid track record of managing vendors and an outsourced delivery model. - Hands-on systems implementation experience (ERP systems - Oracle or SAP preferred). - Must be able and willing to travel. Reporting Relationships Report to CEO. Compensation The salary range for this position is flexible depending on the experience and potential for future development of the selected candidate.
