Opportunity Snapshot:

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to motivate and focus the team on a shared vision as you drive sales and operational excellence at a leading manufacturer that‘s poised for growth!

The company is one of the largest global suppliers of gaskets and bolts to the Oil & Gas, chemical and petrochemical industries; we hit a record-breaking $117M in sales last year and are slated for 20% growth globally. Our ZJG Branch has just opened this year, and we are now looking for a sales/operations leader who can impeccably manage our existing accounts -- including chemical producing customers such as Dow and Chevron-- and build relations with new target accounts as you offer your ideas for innovation and improvement to help take our branch operations to the next level.

The challenge? This is a busy, multifaceted role and you will manage and implement sales strategies to meet our growth objectives as you coach and lead the team to foster "win-win" partnerships that drive revenue and customer satisfaction in a 24/7 environment. You will be responsible for facility operations including leading the manufacturing team that manufactures, assembles and stocks inventory for customers. This also includes leading the purchasing and financial accounting aspects of the operation.
You will also develop partnerships with our corporate office in Houston, Texas USA and keep them informed on key pricing, product application and general business issues and trends.

Our Requirements
Bachelor‘s degree or equivalent combination of education & experience.
2 to 3+ years of related experience, including management of both operations and sales departments.
Proven leadership skills & the ability to manage & motivate a sale team as well as operational personnel.
Knowledge of fluid sealing industry and familiarity with ISO requirements for gasket and fastener industry would be a plus.
Strong communication skills in English language to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders; must have strong presentation skills.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment.

More About Your Role
Reporting to the Asia Pacific Region Manager who is based from Shanghai, you‘ll oversee about 5-15 employees including inside sales reps as well as Gasket servicing and shipping staff at our ZJG office.

At a high level, you‘ll spend about 50% of your time at the office managing strategic planning activities and staying on top of day-to-day sales, service and production issues; and the remaining 50% out in the field staying in touch with the market and customers‘ needs, building customer relations, checking on customer service issues.
Specifically, your responsibilities are to:
Assume accountability for annual budget, sales and EBITDA for ZJG location.
Implement individual Sales Plans and Programs developed in conjunction with the Far East Regional Sales & Marketing Manager to support the company‘s growth strategy.
Provide information to Houston as required, for forecasting targeted business, changes to annual forecast, how we can convert particular business, what we don‘t have, etc.
Develop formal sales strategy for each ‘targeted‘ account.
Reviews sales and operation performance each month; assess performance against plan and take corrective action as needed to improve performance.
Make routine sales calls to position the company as a leading edge organization in Customer Satisfaction; meet with each account frequently and report the content of all contacts to your manager, including business issues and competitive activity.
Set annual goals and objectives for subordinates and participate in the development of individual performance plans.
Call on past due accounts to improve cash flow.
Follow up with customers for returns or problems, issues and concerns; may travel to customer‘s location as necessary to investigate quality problems.
Ensure active participation in all quality issues and stay abreast of Customer, Manufacturing & Supplier issues.
Lead the manufacturing team to meet customers’ expectations for on time delivery of products. Ensure manufacturing, safety and environmental compliance is maintained for the location.
Provide support for purchasing and accounting office team to meet manufacturing and customer requirements.
Develop strategy to be single-source supplier of all fluid sealing products for customers and administer program to attain company‘s strategic position.
Maintain customer, contact, usage, and competitive information.
Supply Houston with information to prepare monthly TriMas reports and quarterly business review reports for TriMas.
Work with Manufacturing Management, Quality Management and Customer Service Representatives to review customer specifications for improvements; follow up with customers to implement changes.
