Direct Report: Worldwide PR and Communications Vice President and coordinate your activities with International PR Coordinator.
Main purpose of the job:
The head of PR and Communication is responsible for projecting the correct image of the company‘s all brands and products, while promoting them in the market. Goals are to raise the company‘s profile and image in China and to bring new business into our boutiques.
The function is also responsible for enhancing communication with the media, strategically planning the message to be conveyed as well as handling all local internal communication (daily press clippings…). This area should support the business indirectly, using the correct communication strategies, thus contributing to increasing sales in China market.
Main responsibilities:
Communications strategy – with directives from Milan and local market
Cover local press according to the strategy defined together with Milan headquarter
All Media Relations
Coordination of Media Plan with Asian agencies and Milan
PR & Celebrity Services
Marketing – events and promotions for all of our stores
Coordination of franchising communication strategy
Main activities:
Budgets management regarding the activities and events in charge
Events organization and location choice: organizing events (trunk shows and store openings) including special projects in collaboration with corporate department
Show arrangements: ensuring seats / gifts arrangements are done for Chinese press during Milano fashion week and communicate with Press to get comments about our new collections or information for buyers to select show pieces for the store
Sample: ordering and delivery control of samples; and handling sample and inventory at the end of each season in collaboration with logistic, accounting, administrative department
Editorials: ensuring proper communication with editorial people and agencies; to be in charge of all company products (apparel and accessories) to cover local editorials
Promotion materials: overseeing all institutional materials, such as, lookbooks, slides and catalogues in co-ordination with the corporate department
Celebrities: updating and controlling the VIP/celebrities list and communicating with corporate department
Competitor information gathering: gathering information related to competitors activities
Team: The person is in charge of 2 people, respectively in charge of PR, editorials and marketing.The person is based in Beijing – PRC.
