ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Responsible for the formal quality system assuring that they meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and are effectively deployed. -Responsible for internal quality system audits, identifying variations, driving corrections/improvements, and reporting to senior management. -Facilitate team activities as needed to support organizational goals. Train, facilitate, and catalyze the organization in the areas of problem solving tools, continuous improvement, and quality systems. -Conduct quality engineering process audits, identify variations, and drive improvements. -Maintain Document Control Center (DCC) for the facilities. Correspond the relationship with other departments. -Maintain a strong working cross-functional relationship with Product Development, PIE, Quality Assurance, Production, Materials, Warehouse, and other management groups. -Assist with supplier quality system assessments. -Responsible for facilitating external quality management system audits (ISO 9001, Customer, UL, etc.) and developing/implementing corrective actions for audit non-conformities. -Responsible for assuring that corrective action plans for quality system issues are implemented and effective. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE -Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of problem solving tools and techniques. -High energy, assertive and results oriented leadership skills including a thorough knowledge of business planning, project management, team facilitation, and conflict resolution. -Ability to understand and communicate short and long range plans to subordinates and bring focus to the System & Process Audit/DCC team. -Strong interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate team building. -Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including English. -Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes. -4 Year College Degree preferably in the Engineering or Quality disciplines. -Leadership style that is team oriented and results focused. -5 to 10 years experience in a quality leadership capacity within a high volume manufacturing environment.
