Boston-Power, Inc., is currently seeking a strong and detail-orientated Director to lead all aspects of operations at our partner manufacturer’s facility in Shenzhen, China. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced and dynamic pre-IPO company. Based in Shenzhen, you will lead senior managers in the execution of the Master Productions Schedule, Supply Chain Management, Productions Management, Capacity Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Yield Improvement, and Process Management. You will work with talented, fun people across a wide variety of functions within Boston-Power and liaise with our partner manufacturer’s production management team to ensure production meets aggressive revenue targets. This is an excellent opportunity to immediately utilize your strong manufacturing experience to build a World Class Manufacturing environment and in the long-term contribute to the company’s global manufacturing strategy. Responsibilities: Develop and execute commercial strategic direction and planning; Provide leadership across the site to ensure continuous improvement in all areas, including yield optimization, quality, and output; Interface with US departments including Engineering, Operations, Finance, and IT; Manage all aspects of supply chain, purchasing, warehousing, logistics and inventory management functions including the development of standards and operating policies related to procurement of all items purchased; Develop and manage facility capital expenditure plans and strategy; Review and approve plans for the control of planned production, budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness, customer service, and order entry efficiency; Develop, negotiate, and implement contract agreements with suppliers; Monitor the production process and adjust schedules as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management or related field; At least 10 years of production management experience in a Hi-Tech , high volume manufacturing environment, preferably with global customer base; At least 7 years experience in managing a large Operations Group including supply chain, engineering, production planning and control, manufacturing and assembly operations; Fluency in English and Mandarin a must; Experience in manufacture of lithium ion batteries a plus; Qualifications in APICS, 6 Sigma, World Class Manufacturing a plus.
