Senior Mechanical Engineer ¨C ZHAO /17439/LY£¬ Shanghaiְλ˵Ã÷¼°ÒªÇó

Responsibilities:

¡¤ As a Mechanical for Consumer Notebook R&D team. You will be responsible for mechanical/thermal/acoustic/S&V development of consumer Notebook product with ODMs.



The primary areas of focus will be:

¡¤ Oversee and Co-Design of mechanical structures for personal computers

¡¤ Perform and review theoretical and detail design analysis including design concept£¬ thermal modeling£¬ FEA£¬ tolerance analysis£¬ vibration and drop test.

¡¤ Participate in the process of establishing design goals and objectives for the project. Understand customer needs and refine customer specifications.

¡¤ Identify and resolve cross-functional and cross-discipline issues and characterize the designs.

¡¤ Work closely with Manufacturing and R&D management to define prototype build strategy. Lead the execution of the builds. Lead issue resolution

¡¤ Release part designs for tooling. Ensure manufacturability of the parts by conducting HP processes with the manufacturing and procurement. Review and approve 3D and 2D documentation.

¡¤ Understand and supervise execution of tests to prove chassis performance. Address defects and finalize designs. Verify that your system meets all performance and reliability requirements.

¡¤ Contribute in the creation of tools and processes that result in organizational efficiency and increased performance.

¡¤ Communicating and following up with cross functional development teams on mechanical features£¬ requirements£¬ cost£¬ and schedules

¡¤ First level trouble shooting of problems found during testing of computer systems in the area of mechanical dynamics£¬ thermals£¬ acoustics£¬ pack£¬ and EMI testing

¡¤ Improve existing test and communications processes and establish new processes as needed



Qualifications

Must Have:

¡¤ Bachelor¡®s (undergraduate) or Master¡®s (graduate) degree in Mechanical Engineering

¡¤ At least 10 plus years experience in R&D environment

¡¤ Strong track record in product development and R&D program management.

¡¤ Experience leading a group of engineers to deliver to and support product development programs.

¡¤ Ability to work effectively in a section leadership role with a team of direct and indirect reporting peers.

¡¤ Demonstrated ability to define and work in a cooperative relationship with other organizations.

¡¤ Ability to work to transfer products to the manufacturing groups

¡¤ Experience in managing relationships with multiple internal partners and external vendors.

¡¤ Proven ability to lead and execute Mechanical Design. Experience in multiple product development cycles£¬ preferably in a multidisciplinary environment.

¡¤ Expert knowledge in mechanical design fundamentals£¬ hands-on working experience.

¡¤ Experience in chassis structure design and calculation£¬ including thermals£¬ acoustics£¬ vibration analysis£¬ and drop test.

¡¤ Strong analytical problem solving skills.

¡¤ Ability to conceptualize£¬ implement and validate a system level design and solution.

¡¤ Expert knowledge and experience in part manufacturing process (plastics£¬ sheet metal£¬ extrusions£¬ etc¡­).

¡¤ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

¡¤ Strong leadership£¬ influencing£¬ and negotiation skills.

¡¤ Demonstrated capabilities as a change agent.

¡¤ Strong teamwork skills and ability to lead across organizational boundaries.

¡¤ Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

¡¤ Strong verbal and written communication and collaborating skill in English and Mandarin.

¡¤ Ability to learn risk management skills (understands risk£¬ assesses risk qualitatively£¬ and uses techniques to measure performance of subcontractors and vendors)

¡¤ Experience with Pro Engineer£¬ Pro Intralink£¬ Microsoft Office Suite
