| Footwear Testing Manager Location Dongguan / Shenzhen China Reports: Director Engineering Asia This challenging position will lead the product testing and validation activities for all footwear and related projects. The primary role of the Footwear Testing Manager is to manage， with minimal guidance the function and performance of new footwear projects from initial prototypes through production confirmation samples. The primary activities include: - Performing the validation testing， while meeting an aggressive timeline. - Continually improve the product development process with respect to testing and qualification activities. - Leads outsource partners to adhere to company developed testing standards and schedules. - Ensure product integrity with extensive wear and material testing. - Provide input during the development process to improve product quality and robustness. - Integrate testing within the overall stage-gate development process. - Set up and manage detailed testing plans with specific target dates to ensure sample deliverables and quality. - Maintain accurate files on all products being developed or currently in production. - Maintain clear， timely and effective communication with internal resources and outsource partners while quickly and efficiently resolving issues. - Support the development process with current information on new materials， components， and procedures. - Provide material and construction solutions that improve overall product performance. - Write test specifications and define parameters for all new products. Qualifications: - Expert knowledge of footwear testing standards， including material， component， and overall performance. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. - 5 to 8 years of footwear testing experience. - Experience managing teams comprised of both internal and external resources. - Experience with a global organization. - Strong problem solving skills. - Excellent communication skills. |
