Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate Communications for Asia， this position is the Asia region lead for developing and executing the PR plan pertaining to the iPod range of products and the iTunes digital jukebox.
Responsibilities include development， implementation， coordination of a focused PR strategy to proactively communicate company‘s agreed messages to targeted media， with the intent of driving music relevance through the iPod product range. The PR Manager will be responsible for widening and increasing media coverage across Asia through new product launches， media reviews， photo placements and initiating ongoing product momentum.
The PR Manager will work closely with the region‘s PR and Product Marketing members to provide strategic counsel， devise and execute integrated communication strategies to support the iPod and iTunes offerings.
This role will involve implementing strategic corporate launch plans across region， and utilizing available resources to maximum effect. The PR Manager is expected to ensure adherence to budgets， schedules， work plans and performance requirements.
Additionally， the PR Manager will maintain key relationships with company corporate and country PR to ensure consistent messaging， press event management and execution in the region.
Requirements
A degree in business/mass communications/journalism， with at least eight years of work experience and a minimum of three years in Public Relations.
Proven track record in managing PR for an MNC in a regional capacity， either as agency partner or in-house.
Existing mainstream and consumer media contacts a must. Good understanding of the Asia media environment will be a plus.
Familiarity with consumer electronics， music， fashion and consumer industry will be advantageous.
Excellent English and Putonghua， spoken and written.
Excellent interpersonal and communication and presentation skills.
Media event management experience is essential.
Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic and challenging environment.
A clear thinker with the ability to prioritize and implement plans towards stated results， a meticulous eye for detail.
Ability to take a hands-on approach in program execution.
Mature and composed.
