ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Direct material cost reduction efforts. -Supplier management; including product quality intitiatives, supplier base reduction, lead time reduction and supplier performance measurements. -Strategic sourcing, commodity management -Provide procurement guidance and support to manufacturing plants and other internal customers. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: -Degree Holder in Business or other related disciplines, Masters or other advanced degree preferred but not required -3 to 5 yrs. of Procurement Management or Commodity team leadership experience or equivalent -Experience in purchasing and supplier management -Good leadership skills and negotiation experience -Overall experience and background must be adequate to effectively manage a group with overall annualized commodity and supplier -Experience in the actual negotiating of commodities and raw materials is a highly preferred. |
