1. Client Company Our client is a global & large garment industrial company & makes garment trim, labels & packaging for the fashion & retail industry. Headquartered in Hong Kong & with its business expanding, they are now seeking a General Manager for its Shanghai factory. 2.Position Profile Key Area of Responsibility: Manage the Shanghai factory operations & formulate & Implement the operation efficient strategy for the group to enhance sales with China domestics & global customers. Main Responsibilities: a. Human Resource: -Responsible for production and non production recruitments -Established company policies -Established salary scale and promotion requirements -Established employees performance appraisals b. Project Planning and Assembly: -Ensure project milestone is established during new project introduction -Ensure all products are produced on plan & as per quality specs -Manage factory operation c. Operation Management and control: -Responsible for strategies to improve operational efficiency and productivity -Responsible for Strategy planning including business and plant expansion -Ensure capacity planning is carried out weekly, monthly and quarterly or and new project is introduced -Ensure work order is loaded to the shop floor on the right time and right machine -Ensure project delivery date a is met -Ensure that machine and equipment are properly maintain and of running condition. -Ensure that work shop cleanness and that tools and equipment are in order d. Staffing and Training: -Manage, supervise, delegate, motivate and organize of staff to achieve factory‘s objective. -Identify, review and implement department and inter-section work flow and procedures. -Set goals and objective for the section. -Conduct training for staff to upgrade technical knowledge and managing & supervisory skills e. QA: -Responsible to set up 6-sigma/ process driven quality culture & ensure that product meets quality, cost and delivery. -Responsible and ensure ISO system is practice and update accordingly -Responsible for Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) is carried out accordingly -Responsible and established internal quality audit -Ensure customers objective are met effectively -Ensure corrective action plan is carried timely f. Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (vendors): -Monitoring vendors OTD and performance -Ensure that purchase of direct materials are cost effective and within quality -Ensure vendors understand of requirement and are met -Ensure purchase order are issued as per BOM -Sourcing and develop new suppliers and sub-con to meet operations need and requirement. h. Materials/Inventory Control: -Responsible and monitor of direct materials usage -Responsible and establish re-order point (ROP) -Responsible materials are issued on First in First out (FIFO) -Responsible for incoming direct materials quality are met based on customers print -Responsible for direct tooling usage and costing i. Engineering: -Responsible for products and projects costing -Responsible for production First Article Inspection -Responsible for fixtures design to support production and QA/QC needs -Responsible for setting up machining programmed -Responsible for cycle time study and improvement activities -Responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) -Responsible for Re-Engineering and work closely customer R&D Department j. Finance: -Responsible for cash flow -Responsible Profit and Loss -Responsible Balance sheet -Responsible for company cash flow petty cash usage -Responsible and established company, inter-department annual budget k. Sales : -Ensure sales productivity. -Ensure efficient use of resources within the operation circle of sales / factory & profit & loss -Attend new product introduction with sale & marketing and customers Reporting Line: The incumbent will report to the VP of East China, who is from Hong Kong & Shanghai based.
