The Publishing Planning Officer

The Publishing Planning Officer has full responsibility over the entire

publishing planning of the company. He/she commands a team of writers， editors， and videographers in their everyday work. His/she ensure they deliver a large volume of publishable information. He/she troubleshoots difficult emergencies and situation with a view to meeting deadlines and protecting the integrity of the planning.

The Publishing Planning Officer:

(a) controls what each member of the publishing team is working on and will work on (daily， weekly)

(b) coordinates team members between themselves so that they are utilized in the best interest of the company

(c) assigns tasks to editors and video crew

(d) troubleshoots any unplanned and non-optimal situation so that deadlines are met

(e) implements new technological solutions

(f) trains individual team members in the necessary technologies

(g) ensures the publishing planning is fully under control， deadlines are met， and the company publishes valuable information in high volume

(h) maintains a high level of friendliness within the team ranks， with a tiger eye for non-cooperative team members

(i) recommends best practices， best solutions， and new developments to the management

Job characteristics:

Technical characteristics and profile --

(a) Excellent command of Chinese and English

(b) Excellent command of Microsoft Office and Microsoft XP (notably accessories， sound features， memory management， etc).

(c) Excellent Strong understanding of web basics (search engines， website development， e-mail， hosting， web 2.0， etc.)

(d) Some knowledge and practice of software packages such as Dreamweaver， Camtasia， Apple Final Cut Pro， Adobe Premiere， Sony Las Vegas， Sony Soundforge， iMovies…

(e) Has good practical knowledge of Beijing

(f) Has at least 4 years of proven employment history with references， and at least 2 years of experience in managerial capacity.

(g) Candidate’s advantage: Has worked/studied abroad in an English-language environment

(h) Candidate’s advantage: has a proven experience in the tourism industry
