| [main purpose of the role and key responsibilities] SW Development for Carrier Switches products (hiD66xx) - Analysis， Design， and Implementation for the realization of new and/or the extension/ adaptation of existing features - Offline and Online testing - Maintenance， i.e. locating and fixing of faults - Support of tests and trial runs in customer sites - Technical support to other departments (e.g. Service， Product Management， SSM， Sales) [requirements] Technical knowledge / skills: - Telecommunication networks - Ethernet switches， routers - Ethernet technology and related protocols for Carrier networks (VLAN， ERP， PBB/PBB-TE， xSTP， MPLS， G-MPLS， T-MPLS， …) - Embedded Operating Systems (VxWorks， Embedded Linux) - C/C++， OOA/OOD， UML Language skills: - verbal fluency in English and very good skills in written English Experience: - more than 2 years of professional experience in Switch/Router development - international working experience with European countries or US preferred [personal attributes] - Initiative - Fast learning capability - Excellent communication and team working skills - Strong result and quality orientation - Flexibility in task assignment [business unit description] The Nokia Siemens Networks Carrier Switches solution is in a leading position to master the challenges which the new generation of converged services (Telephony， Internet， and Information & Entertainment services) imposes on the next generation Carrier Metro， Core， and Mobile networks.
