| Roles: Overview: Drive the overall strategy and execution of the division. He/she will manage the operations (with full P&Lresponsibility) for the division. He/she will provide a vision for the division development strategy and lead regional team in a growing and evolving industry. Accountabilities include establishment of divisional goals and operating strategy for business development, project management, resource planning, delivery quality & process management, customer relationship retain and financial management. This is a key role in PTS operating structure with direct reporting relationship to head of PTS. Responsibilities: 1. Provide strategic vision for the division: * Improve current working process and evaluate use of new technology to enable division to grow business as planned. * Identify new marketing opportunities for hiSoft to grow customer base and increase upsell business. * Drive the ongoing development of the quality solution platform (Mercury Quality Center,QTP and open-source automation solution). Work closely with sales &pre-sales team to provide platform/solution ROI evaluation to gain morebusiness. * Provide technical support to other offshoredivisions, especially in automation, performance and tools development. * Continue to enhance current development processto form a more mature competency in development project management withstandardization. 2. Lead and manage the team: * Coach, train, challenge, empower and motivatecurrent offshore/on-site team. Facilitate regular and effective communicationamong teams of the division. Help team leaders with hiring and thinking throughorganizational structure as changes to the business/people occur. * Inspire project managers and help standardizedelivery process, quality & execution. * Serve as member of PTS leadership team,providing insight into PTS leadership team to grow offshore business. * Meet customers and attend regular deliveryconference call with clients * Maintain and increase company credibilitythrough Voice of Customer (VoC) evaluation. * Define KPI (Key Performance Indicator) fordirect report team members and conduct regular performance appraisal. 3. Manage financial performance of the division: * Manage all lines on the P&L, with in depthunderstanding of the financial levers to grow the business profitably. * Support purchasing/planning functions to ensuredivision has correct level of product assortment and inventory levels. * Develop budget and forecast for the division Required Skills Key Requirements: Management: Business planning; resourceallocation and prioritization; long term planning; presentations (external andinternal). Financial Management: P&L management; budgetdevelopment and management; contingency planning for additional spending andcost cutting. Strategic Planning: Ability to conceptualize andexecute a departmental vision. Issue identification and action plandevelopment. Both tangible and non-tangible objectives. People Management: Ability to manage talent with diverse skill sets, cultures and conflicting agendas. Succession planningskills (as the division has experienced rapid growth). Project Management: Ability to manage testing ordevelopment project in early stage of engagement. Sophisticated project planning, schedule management and risk management capability. Technical Management: Ability to learn new technology and apply technology innovation into solution to facilitate business growth. |
